Student Scholarship Application

Our employees believe in contributing to the well-being of our membership, and donate money each payday to our Dollars For Scholars Student Scholarship Fund. We’re proud to offer assistance to our members as they further their education! The scholarships are for $2,000 each, and awarded annually to five Consumers Credit Union members who are full-time high school students.

Guidelines:

• Applicants must be full-time high school students with a GPA of 3.0 or higher and an ACT score of 22 or higher.
• Applications are evaluated with equal emphasis on academic achievement, community service and essay content.
• Awards are payable to the student upon proof of enrollment.
• The applicant must be a member of Consumers Credit Union.

Application Materials:

• Completed and signed Scholarship Application. Click here for the application
• High school transcript and ACT test score documentation for high school applicants.
• Letter of acceptance from an accredited college or university.
• Letter of recommendation.
• Additional supporting documentation to demonstrate participation in school activities and/or community service of benefit to others.
• Typed essay (300-500 words) addressing the theme "Explain a challenge or event in your life that has changed your future.

Disclaimer:

Employees, Board Members and immediate family are not eligible for the Dollars For Scholars Student Scholarship.

Application materials must be received by Saturday, February 28th, 2009.
