Does Consumers offer additional protections on my loan? >>
Yes, Consumers offers GAP insurance, as well as Credit Life and Disability insurance.
GAP insurance covers the difference between any outstanding loan balance and the vehicle’s actual cash value, should you total your vehicle and owe more than the value (your primary insurance company’s settlement). In such an event, GAP insurance holders who are eligible borrowers would also receive an additional $1,000 benefit towards a replacement vehicle financed through Consumers.
Credit Life insurance pays off or reduces the insured balance on your loan if you pass away, while Credit Disability insurance makes your loan payments if you become ill or disabled and unable to work.
Ask your loan officer for details about GAP insurance and Credit Life and Disability insurance on your vehicle loan.
