Shannon Dwyer, Business Development Manager at Consumers Credit Union

Shannon Dwyer has worked at Consumers since 2013, when she started in the Member Service Center. As a graduate of Western Michigan University’s business administration program, she soon found herself serving as a credit specialist and eventually a commercial loan officer within the Business Services department.

“My accounting background helps me better understand our borrowers’ financials and uncover their lending needs,” Shannon explains. “I love learning the stories behind each of our business members and finding ways that we can work together to promote the growth of their organizations!”

Shannon is eager to serve both potential and existing members to develop relationships and explore new business opportunities. She serves our Battle Creek and Coldwater offices, as well as our Kalamazoo and Portage markets, where she is an ambassador for the Kalamazoo Chamber of Commerce.

In her free time, Shannon loves spending time with her friends, family and Border Collie. She also enjoys traveling to Northern Michigan near Mackinaw City where many of her relatives live.

Hi Shannon, I just watched your podcast. Thank you for the information. My husband & I are memebers of Consumers but have our business account at another institute. I was advsied by a mentor at the Score that I am able to obntain a second PPP loan. Sole Proprieter, easy. The gentlemen at the finincial institute said they are working on PPP loans that are due on the 1st, then will get to the other dates so we can fill out the forgiveness form. My due date is 7/22/22. He said that I cannot apply for a second one until the first is forgiven, but I need to wait in line until they get to me. Just asking… Is this normal practice? Again, a friend, said no I am in the legal industry and have not worked for almost a year. Please inform or advise what my next step should be. I obviously should have done research in 2018 when I opened the account. Thank you! Have a beutiful and blessed day.
