Consumers is here to help you get your budget back on track after holiday spending. From January 1 until March 31, you can transfer your high-rate credit card balances to a Consumers Mastercard® and enjoy a special 4.99% APR* for 18 months!

No balance transfer fees will apply. After the first 18 billing cycles, your regular variable balance transfer rate (10.74% – 22.99% APR) will apply.

Here’s how to request a balance transfer through Online Banking:

  1. Log in to Online Banking
  2. Click on the credit card account name under the dashboard column that you’d like to transfer outside balances to.
  3. Click on Details & Settings.
  4. Click on the Balance Transfer
  5. Complete the form and click Next to send off the information. You should see the adjustment to your balance made within 24 hours.

*4.99% APR available for balance transfers submitted January 1, 2020, through March 31, 2020. The 4.99% APR balance transfer rate is good for 18 billing periods from the date of the first balance transfer. After this date, unpaid balances revert to your regular balance transfer rate (10.74% – 22.99% APR). Balance transfers will be processed as cash transactions and will incur finance charges immediately. The minimum payment will be applied to lowest rate balances first, while all payments exceeding the minimum payment due each billing period will be applied to balances with higher APRs prior to balances with lower APRs. We will not charge you interest on purchases if you pay your entire balance by the due date each month. Both new and existing personal cards are eligible for the promotion. Rewards points are not awarded for transferred balances. Only members with accounts in good standing are eligible. Balance transfers may not be used to pay off credit cards or other loan accounts held with Consumers.
