Kalamazoo, MICH — Consumers Credit Union announces that construction has begun on a new 2,225 square-foot office in Angola, Indiana, located at 2855 Seranova Way. The office is expected to open in early 2027 and marks Consumers’ first brick-and-mortar location in Indiana. The project follows the credit union’s 2024 charter expansion into the state and represents the next step in its growth.

The new Angola office will offer a full range of financial services, including personal checking, savings, credit cards, mortgages, full-service lending and banking, investments and financial education.

“Crossing into Indiana is a significant step for our credit union,” said Lindsay McCall, chief operations officer at Consumers. “Angola gives us the chance to bring the same level of member service our communities in Michigan have come to expect to a whole new group of neighbors.”

The Angola office will feature Consumers’ TellerPlus+ technology in both the lobby and drive-thru lane, along with a complimentary coffee bar, wireless banking stations with Wi-Fi and dedicated spaces for loan and member services.

“This location puts us in a strong position to grow alongside the Angola community,” said Consumers’ Regional Vice President Shawn Detamore. “We’re looking forward to getting to know the local businesses and families here and building the kind of relationships that make banking feel personal.”

Partners on the project include JICI and Bosch Architecture, who bring design and construction expertise to Consumers’ first Indiana location.
