“This isn’t just a new office. It’s a space designed to give back to the Big Rapids community,” said Lindsay McCall, chief operations officer at Consumers. “The community space allows us to host local groups and offer financial education beyond our regular banking hours.”

The new Big Rapids location will provide a full range of financial services, including personal checking, savings, credit cards, mortgages, full-service lending and banking, investments and financial education.

“Big Rapids has a lot of growth ahead of it, and we want to be part of that,” said Scott Sylvester, president and CEO of Consumers. “We love putting the right people in the right place. Kate has done an outstanding job serving members and leading our Cascade team, and we’re confident she’ll bring that same energy and commitment to Big Rapids.”

Batchelder, who grew up in the Big Rapids area, has more than 20 years of experience in the financial industry and joined Consumers in 2024. She is excited to return closer to home and serve members throughout Mecosta County.
