Kalamazoo, MICH — Consumers Credit Union celebrated the opening of its Woods Lake office in Kalamazoo, at the corner of Oakland Avenue and Parkview Avenue, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, Aug. 22, marking the credit union’s 27th office in the state of Michigan.

Hosted by the Consumers team, including President & CEO Scott Sylvester and Woods Lake Office Manager Rudy Guillen and Consumers’ Board Director Kim Weishaar. The ribbon-cutting event was widely attended by community leaders. Among the attendees were Kalamazoo Mayor David Anderson, Kalamazoo City Commissioner Jeanne Hess, City Manager of Portage Patrick McGinnis, and Vice President and Chamber Director of Southwest Michigan First Clarence Lloyd.

The Woods Lake office features two buildings: a 7,355-sq.-ft. retail space and a two-story 4,391-sq.-ft. office with Consumers’ TellerPlus+ technology in the lobby and drive-thru lanes. The new office also boasts a free coffee bar, banking stations with Wi-Fi, and loan and member service areas where members can receive assistance with a wide range of services.

“This office was built for the community and can accommodate up to 7 businesses as lease spaces,” said Sylvester. “The Oakwood community has been incredibly welcoming, and we are excited to be here!”
