Kalamazoo, MICH — For the third time in its history, Consumers Credit Union was named a Corp! magazine Michigan Economic Bright spot. The designation honors companies that have continued to thrive in economic growth, expansion and hiring Michigan’s brightest talent.

Consumers was among 78 companies honored this year in one of four categories, winning for Medium Business. Other categories included Enterprise Businesses, Large Businesses and Small Businesses.

“We work hard every day to help our members achieve financial success,” said Chief Human Resource Officer Shawn Premer. “This designation affirms the choices we make about our products and services are really moving the needle forward for our members—and ultimately the economies across West Michigan.”

The winners were honored at a ceremony and breakfast on June 14 at the International Banquet Center in Detroit. Consumers is featured in the publication’s June 21 digital edition and will be highlighted in Corp!’s July/August print edition.
