Kalamazoo, MICH — Consumers Credit Union is pleased to announce the addition of Steve Glascock as manager of its new Grand Haven office, which is set to open this summer, while Brett Clark will join Consumers as its newest mortgage loan officer.

Steve Glascock has been in banking since he graduated from Western Michigan University over 10 years ago. Though he has worked in numerous capacities, including backend support roles, he has been managing retail offices along the lakeshore for the last three years.

“Making sure I’m in a position to best serve our members will always be my primary objective,” said Glascock. “I’ve always been the type of person to want to solve problems, and I’m excited for the opportunity to meet and serve new members in Grand Haven.”

Brett Clark, Mortgage Loan OfficerBrett Clark will be assisting members with mortgages from the call center at The Groves headquarters.

The 16-year mortgage industry veteran has helped thousands of families realize their dreams of homeownership.

“Every day is a chance to engage with someone new to meet a different need or goal,” said Clark. “Because of that, I have a great perspective to help people from a lot of different backgrounds.

“Every member doesn’t fit into a mold and neither can my approach.”

Clark joins a group of more than two dozen mortgage lenders at the credit union, which grew mortgage originations in 2020 to an all-time high of over $500 million. The record growth was accompanied by fast service, too, as nearly all loans originated at Consumers were cleared to close under 30 days through the credit union’s #FastApp Home Loan application.
