About Jose
Jose Sierra serves as a regional member service representative for the Grand Rapids market, where he supports retail offices across the region while helping members stay financially fit and confident in their banking decisions.
As a floating MSR supporting multiple offices, Jose provides staffing support, mentors new employees, assists the @Work team and helps ensure seamless daily operations. In his role, he works directly with members, coaching individuals and families on how to make their money work toward their personal goals.
“My passion is strengthening community roots by empowering neighbors with financial education and providing the capital local businesses need to thrive,” says Jose. “My role is not simply about transactions, but about helping build foundations for long-term prosperity in our own communities.”
Jose joined Consumers in October 2021, bringing more than 12 years of customer service experience and a background in team leadership with him. Prior to entering the banking industry, he worked in a variety of fields, giving him a deep appreciation for diverse roles that support strong communities and have helped him relate to members from all walks of life.
Jose is committed to continuing his career at Consumers with a focus on servant leadership and community impact. He strives to deepen his roots in the Grand Rapids area while supporting teams and members in ways that reflect Consumers’ long-standing commitment to service, trust and financial education.
Outside of work, Jose enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking for others and exploring dog parks and local spots with his dog. He is passionate about supporting local businesses and values experiences that bring people together.
