About Nicole
Nicole Spaulding serves as an @Work business development representative at Consumers, where she partners with local businesses to bring financial education and personalized banking solutions directly to their employees. Nicole attends new hire orientations for partner organizations, assists with account openings and provides ongoing support through on-site visits and café service events—all designed to deliver exceptional member experiences.
“I enjoy teaching potential members about how Consumers can help them,” says Nicole. “My role with @Work allows me to make an impact on a larger audience by offering outstanding customer service and building trust that leads to long-term financial success.”
Nicole’s career journey reflects a passion for education and service. Before joining Consumers in 2024, she spent 26 years as an elementary school teacher in Mattawan, where she developed strong communication, mentoring and problem-solving skills. After retiring from education in 2023, Nicole sought a second career that combined her love for helping others with a positive work environment.
Nicole holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Western Michigan University and a master’s in early education from Marygrove College. Her background in teaching and leadership has equipped her with patience, empathy and a collaborative mindset, qualities that make her a trusted resource for members and businesses alike.
Outside of work, Nicole enjoys reading, playing golf and pickleball, volunteering at her church and local food pantry, and spending time with her two grown sons.
