The Michigan Veteran Affairs Agency recognizes Consumers as an employer who makes a concerted effort to attract veterans.

We’re fortunate to live and work in a community with so many veterans. Veterans bring an unmatched level of dedication, problem solving and worth ethic to our workplace. That’s why we make every effort to attract military veterans from all branches, including active Guard and Reserve members, to our team. Recently, the Michigan Veterans Affair Agency certified Consumers as a bronze-level Veteran-Friendly Employer in recognition of our dedication to hiring veterans.

Veteran-Friendly Employer (VFE) certification means we join companies like GM, Kellogg’s, Whirlpool and Quicken Loans, and many others who also have robust veteran hiring programs. We are honored to use this certification to build better strategies for attracting, hiring and retaining veterans back into the workforce.
