Consumers Credit Union is thrilled to launch a new partnership with the Van Andel Arena to sponsor the new ConsumersCU Club Restaurant + Bar, formerly known as The Intermission, which will open its doors at 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 14.

Located on the first floor of the Van Andel Arena, the ConsumersCU Club will be managed by SAVOR… Grand Rapids and will introduce a new menu featuring time-tested favorites and several new items, including Tuscan mussels, poke nachos, margherita flatbread, sopapillas and more.

As part of this new partnership, Consumers was granted naming rights of the restaurant and signage throughout the arena. This included the installation of a Grand Rapids scenic mural by local photographer and Consumers member William James Burke V over the stairs/escalator area, which is similar to Consumers signage at the Gerald R. Ford Airport.

“The Van Andel Arena and Griffins hockey team are staples of the Grand Rapids community,” said Consumers President & CEO Scott Sylvester. “We are looking forward to all the possibilities that arise as part of this exciting new collaboration.”

This new partnership will bring fun to members of all ages, including Griffins ticket giveaways all season long and Consumers’ sponsorship of the Nov. 16 matinee game.
