Fall—or autumn, if you prefer—is one of the most beautiful times of year in Michigan. A clear, crisp day gives the mind a burst of energy and fills your lungs with life when you get outside! We’ve created a list of 10 things you can do to celebrate fall with friends, family or even on your own.

October

  1. The Haven Harvest Festival in South Haven is October 18 through 20. Orchard tours, family fun and games, markets and more await you!
  2. Chug through fall at the 2019 Greater Grand Rapids Fall Train show! More than 200 vendors await you with models, books and so much more you can use to “train” your brain! Be there on October 12!
  3. Binder Park Zoo is holding their Fall into the Zoo event on October 14! Stop by and say hello to the animals, grab a cup of coffee and enjoy everything they have to offer!
  4. Go trick or treating in downtown Holland on October 26! The only thing to be frightened of is having too much fun!
  5. Looking for some haunted adventures? Cornwell’s Turkeyville in Coldwater has you covered! Donuts and spiced cider will be available to sooth your spirits on October 19.

November

  1. Shop ‘til you drop on November 8 in Holland! Get your holiday shopping kickstarted in style.
  2. Need we say more?
  3. How does a Holiday in the Park sound to you? South Haven is hosting their annual event of lights, ice skating, karaoke and more! Stop by on November 29.
  4. If you’re around Kalamazoo on November 29, be sure to stop and watch the Christmas tree lighting! Nothing brings good cheer like a Christmas tree and community.
  5. Starting on November 1, Battle Creek will host their International Festival of Lights. This goes through December so there’s no reason to miss out!

There are events everywhere in West Michigan during the fall! What are your favorite events? Help out your friends and put them in the comments below!
