Consumers Credit Union strives to make our communities better. Each year Consumers gives over $405,000 and donates more than 30,000 hours to 300+ community groups, events and causes.

Consumers’ employees also give time and resources just as generously. For the last two years, Consumers has taken a portion of their annual employee Professional Development Day to give back through volunteer opportunities. This year over 340 employees donated at least 70 minutes (in honor of Consumers’ 70th Anniversary) to the cause of their choice. That’s over 405 hours of community service in one day!

Longstanding Partnerships

Many of Consumers’ charitable causes have been partners for years. The organizations below make up a large portion of Consumers’ donations and time commitments.

Core Charities

Consumers employees annually contribute over $13K to four West Michigan United Ways. With additional corporate donations, Consumers provides $30K in funds that these United Ways put to use in our communities in Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids, Holland and more.

As the events of 2020 continue to stretch into 2021 Consumers will still be partnering with our communities whether it’s a virtual walk, a socially distant meal delivery or a safe movie in a park. To see what’s coming next follow us on Facebook or see where our employees will be on the events page on our website.
