Consumers Credit Union is proud to be the title sponsor for the Grand Rapids Rotary’s first ever Duck Derby. A duck derby is a unique, fundraising event; participants “adopt” ducks either online or through participating locations (like all Consumers offices in Grand Rapids, hint-hint). On September 18, thousands of individually numbered ducks will be released to race down a special course set up in the Grand River, swimming to the finish line to win prizes for their duck adoptive parents. The first 10 ducks across the finish line win prizes, including:

• First place: $2,500
• Second place: $1,000
• Third place: $500
• Ducks 4 through 10 receive a sponsor swag bag.

The Grand Rapids Rotary’s derby will launch from the Gillett Bridge and race toward Ah-Nab-Awen Park in downtown Grand Rapids. To adopt a duck ($5) or ducks (discount packs are available), visit the Rotary’s fundraising site here. Or stop by any Consumers office in Grand Rapids to scan the adoption QR code.

Proceeds from the Duck Derby go to support the Rotary’s local service projects, including mentoring and scholarships for local students and their annual holiday luncheon for at-risk seniors.
