On Father’s Day, please your pop with a special meal, including cocktails designed especially for dads.

If your dad has a favorite cocktail, of course you’ll want to start your celebration with that. However, if he enjoys new flavors, try out one of these eight cocktails especially for Father’s Day. His new favorite might become a Black Pepper Gibson, Ferrari or Maraschino Snakebite.

If you have a BBQ, one whole chicken, and a can of beer you’ve got the basics for Tangy Beer-Can Chicken. Even if you don’t have the beer, you’re good to go because Cooking Light says any canned beverage will do. At 1.5 hours of cooking time plus prep, this isn’t the fastest dish to cook but it will surely deliver a moist chicken.

Simple yet tasty, Salt-and-Pepper Rib Eye wins the day because fat equals flavor. Get the recipe and watch the video to see just how aggressive to be with the salt and judge when it’s done.

Of course, while you’re waiting for the food on the grill to cook you need something to nosh on. Whip up a batch of guacamole, smooth or chunky. Customize the recipe by adjusting the salt, cilantro, garlic and cayenne to dad’s taste.

Does your dad eat light? Try a Special Scallop Salad, Spinach and Orzo Salad or Manly Man Salad.

For a dessert that’s fun to make and eat, try a Giant Chipwich Cake. Start by baking  two packages of refrigerated cookie dough. Fill it with half a gallon of ice cream and press mini chocolate chips along the edge. Make the cake extra special by replacing vanilla ice cream with dad’s favorite flavor. See how it’s made here.

Happy Father’s Day to all dads and everyone who has a dad!
