Consumers Credit Union is committed to protecting the privacy and security of youth members and their personal information. 

This Children’s Privacy Notice applies to personal information relating to youth members that Consumers Credit Union collects in connection with the Youth Mobile App and the financial products and services associated with a youth member account. Information may be collected through the app, online services, telephone communications, text messages, electronic communications, account servicing activities, and in-person interactions with Consumers Credit Union. 

Personal information collected in connection with youth member accounts is also subject to Consumers Credit Union’s general Privacy Notice and information security practices. 

Eligibility and Parent Authorization 

The Youth Mobile App is available only to youth members who maintain an account relationship with Consumers Credit Union and whose account includes an adult joint owner or other authorized adult associated with the account. 

Access to the Youth Mobile App requires an activation code issued by Consumers Credit Union to the adult associated with the youth account. The adult is responsible for determining whether to provide the activation code to the youth member. 

Information We Collect 

Through the Youth Mobile App, Consumers may collect information necessary to provide and support financial services, including: 

• Name and account-related identifying information; 

• Username, password, and authentication credentials; 

• Account balances, transaction history, and account activity; 

• Device and application information needed to operate and secure the app; 

• Information used for fraud prevention, cybersecurity, and account protection; and 

• Other information reasonably necessary to provide products and services requested by the member. 

Consumers does not knowingly collect more information from youth users than is reasonably necessary to provide the services offered through the app. 

How We Use Information 

Information collected through the Youth Mobile App may be used to: 

• Provide account access and financial services; 

• Authenticate users and prevent unauthorized access; 

• Detect and prevent fraud and security incidents; 

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve app functionality; 

• Communicate regarding account activity and services; and 

• Comply with legal and regulatory requirements. 

Information Sharing 

Consumers Credit Union does not sell personal information collected through the Youth Mobile App. 

Information may be shared as permitted by law, including: 

• With service providers that support our banking operations; 

• To process transactions and provide requested services; 

• To comply with legal, regulatory, examination, or law enforcement requests; 

• To protect the security of our members, employees, systems, and accounts; and 

• As otherwise permitted or required by applicable law. 

Parental Access and Control 

The adult associated with the youth account may: 

• Request information regarding the youth member’s use of the app and associated account; 

• Request that app access be disabled; 

• Change login credentials or request a new activation code; and 

• Contact Consumers with questions regarding information maintained through the Youth Mobile App. 

Please note that certain information may be retained as required by applicable law, regulation, record-retention requirements, or account administration needs. 

Protection of Information 

Consumers Credit Union maintains administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, alteration, or disclosure.

End User Licensing Agreement

By using the GOALS Youth Application (“App”), you agree to these terms. 

 1. Who Can Use the App: The App is available only to eligible youth members of Consumers Credit Union who have received access through an adult associated with their account.

2. License to Use the App: Consumers Credit Union gives you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the App for personal banking and financial education purposes. The App remains the property of Consumers Credit Union and its service providers.

3. Keep Your Login Information Safe: You are responsible for keeping your username, password, activation code, and other login information secure. Do not share them with friends or other people. 

4. Acceptable Use: You agree not to: 

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose; 

• Attempt to access another person’s account; 

• Interfere with the operation or security of the App; or 

• Copy, modify, or distribute the App.

5. Account Information: The App provides access to information about your account. You should review your account activity regularly and tell an adult associated with your account or Consumers Credit Union if you notice anything unusual. 

6. Availability: We work hard to keep the App available and secure, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access at all times. The App may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance, updates, or technical issues. 

7. Changes and Termination: Consumers Credit Union may update the App or these terms from time to time. We may suspend or terminate access to the App if these terms are violated or if account access is no longer authorized.
