Consumers Credit Union’s partner, Women’s Resource Center, recently celebrated the grand opening of its new location in Grand Rapids.

The Women’s Resource Center (WRC) has been working to empower women in the workplace since 1973 through innovative programs and services to effectively motivate and inspire all women who seek meaningful employment.

As part of the credit union’s support of the WRC, Consumers has committed to a multi-year partnership with the organization, thereby funding the lobby of the new space.

As the result of the capital campaign, WRC was able to surpass its goal of $2 million and raised a grand total of $2.8 million to fund the new space.

“We have been so fortunate to receive such tremendous response to this important campaign, the first in our 50-year history,” said Women’s Resource Center CEO Sandra Gaddy. “Our campaign leadership joins me in thanking the community for their meaningful gifts.”
