On an internal message board at Consumers, employees recently shared stories about all the amazing rewards we’ve earned from redeeming our credit card rewards points. (Yes, we’re nerds.) After many anecdotes and more than a few gasps of disbelief at the rewards claimed, we decided to share them with you!

1. Jeff (retail) and his wife were excited to fly to Idaho for a friend’s wedding. Sadly, tickets were very expensive due to the short notice. He looked at his credit card points and sprang into action—by the time he was done redeeming his points, he had saved over 50% off each ticket. 4. Bob (IT) bought new hardwood flooring with the Home Depot gift cards he redeemed.
5. Tamera (retail) used her reward points to help pay for a hotel suite in Orlando for her family!
6. Tim (lending) booked his hotel room near Cedar Point to make thrilling new memories!
7. Johanna (retail) used her points toward purchasing her daughter’s dream bunk bed!
