About Mark
Mark Candey has more than 20 years of mortgage industry experience with large financial institutions. As such, he has a background in all aspects of mortgage lending, including processing, underwriting and closing. However, he notes that connecting on a personal level with members is his true key to success.
“I enjoy getting to know my borrowers and building a trusting relationship,” Mark explains, citing his desire to go above and beyond for his clients. “Everything I do revolves around a client-focused approach, which means listening and then delivering great service for my members.”
Mark is no stranger to hard work. Currently a regular golfer, he played both football and basketball at Hope College, where he graduated with a bachelor of science degree in business. He has coached several sports at all levels since.
His family is no less diverse. He and his wife Shelli have four children who range in occupation from a veterinarian to a composer of opera and a film study major, as well as a talented high school volleyball player still at home.
